I’ve recently been searching on Craigslist for a good used Nikon D7200 the prices seem to hover around $750/$900 for body only with shutter counts as low as 20k to well over 50k.
I decided to check eBay to see how much they are going for there and have noticed quite a few for $630 to $700 brand new. Sellers list that they are shipping from New York to LA with a few from Hong Kong. If anyone has any insight or experience please help.
Thank you

Sounds like Grey market, stay away no USA service...

I am not a fan of Craigs list because of many scammers.
On Ebay the key is USA Warranty by Nikon and USA Goods, not Grey Market. Grey market sellers show USA warranty but it is from their repair company.
EBay probably has a better selection, but for best quality I would also check for used/refurbished D7200s on KEH, B&H, Adorama and on Nikon’s own website. Keep in mind, you do get what you pay for.
Thx all. My gut told me to stay away so I’m getting a refurb D7200 from Nikon thx again

Was about to suggest that. Did you get the body only or one of the body/lens deals?
Adorama refurbs have been around 705-730 lately.
You'll be very happy with the D7200. I started off with a D70 about 10 years ago. The sensor in it just died one day so I upgraded to the D7200 body keeping the lens that came with the D70 . The new features to learn were quite daunting particularly the video side of things - a totally new experience for me which opened up a whole new vista on videography. In order to short-cut the relatively steep learning curve on mastering what this camera could do over and above the old D70, I spent a small amount of cash on obtaining a users guide for the Nikon D7200 from Thom Hogan, a veteran in the ins and outs of Nikon gear. His manual gives insights into the use and capabilities of your new acquisition that the Nikon user manual doesn't cover. Happy shooting!
Buy refurbished from Adorama, Cameta or B&H. Adorama currently has them for $704, Cameta $699. When I got mine it had less than 50 clicks.
Morning everyone. Just got used D7200 and registered it on Nikon website and it was accepted so feel pretty sure got a real Nikon not grey market. But how does one check shutter count? Thanks for the help.

I wold go for a refurb, rather than a used D7200. the price won't be that different, but you know it will be good right out of the box.
$699

Phil get peace of mind and buy from a reputable dealer. It could cost you a little bit more but it is worth it...and they give you a warranty on the product sold.
And, Cameta extends the warranty to one year. They are excellent to do business with as a retailer.

Sounds good to me. Extended warranty too.
