NFL TV ratings did drop 9.7% for the regular season games amidst the Anthem Controversy. This controversy is now resolved. But, if you still decide not to watch any games, that's your Right. No one is going to force you to do what irritates you. Have a good life without football. I'll be watching the Superbowl, as I have for many many years past.

I hope the Eagles $hit all over the Pats. The Pats are just happy they are not playing The New York Football Giants.

traderjohn, won't happen. It will be the other way around !!! But I clearly remember when Plaxico Burress of the Giants caught than game-ending TD to win the Super Bowl and ruin the Pats perfect season. I forget what year it was.

What a ridiculous statement. I suppose if only a few hundred of your Philly street punk mugger fans only injured a few hundred people, that would be ok. The problem you have in Philly is that your cops are too chicken shit to arrest your mugger fans for the last twenty years, so now Philly thinks violence is part of the game experience. Sportsmanship starts when kids are young and is encouraged though out life. Maybe your name should be changed to something that more resembles your attitude.

Went out last night to one of the local twin cities casinos. The casinos have been preparing for Super Bowl weeks incoming hoards. Most of the casinos have increased their hotel space to accommodate the increase in guests. You would think they are rebuilding Las Vegas here in Minnesota. If yesterday's visit to one casino is indicative of the other casinos, the Indian owners are about to loss a lot of money. Didn't see any more people there than on an ordinary slow day during a snow storm. Traveling around the cities, I didn't see anything more than normal activity. I didn't and won't go to downtown Minneapolis or St. Paul until this event is over so I can't speak to their increase in activity. To watch the news, the only TV shots of events is the same few blocks and the TV crews having to broadcast themselves sliding down the winter set up rides. We have hundreds of extra cops from all over the state here to help along with help from the National Guard. They are ordered to arrest anyone who is out of order. The jails are prepared and we are very willing to accept money to get out. By the way if arrested, Philly fans and Pats fans will probably have to share the same cells. Won't that be interesting. Now that is something that I might buy a ticket to.

Your wrong, I'm not a sore loser. I really don't care about losing the game. I care more about what adults are teaching our youth regarding sportsmanship. When Green Bay and the Vikes play, fans get together at local bars and enjoy the game together. When the games over, we have another beer and look forward to the next time we play. We don't have the street gang mentality apparently "some" Philly fans do.

No problem. We will take care of them this time.

The Philadelphia Eagles team playing now, must have seen that embarrassing lost by Atlanta to New England in last year's Superbowl. The NFC has defeated the Patriots twice. Both times from the same team and the same Quarterback. The NY Giants and Eli Manning. Eli's only two Superbowl Rings. I have been told, that any mention of Eli's name around Tom Brady, results in an immediate frown. The Eagles backup Quarterback, Foles, has been amazing thus far. If he plays as well as he did against the Vikings. And the team has little or no turnovers, it will be a competitive game.

I'm with you Dave Fishing, we're patriots. Anyone in my family that watches the game will be out of the will.

It should be a good game. Minnesota, in past years have lost 4 Superbowl Games. If they had beaten Philadelphia, they most likely would have lost against the Patriots anyway. Having lost 5 Superbowls. But there are other teams that have never been to a Superbowl at all. The lowly Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, and Jacksonville Jaguars. Houston moved to Tennessee, but made a trip to the Superbowl. The newest team, the Texans, have never been to a Superbowl. At least Minnesota went to the dance 4 times. Tom Brady goes to his 8th Superbowl. He has won 5 out of 7. Not bad, I would say. Love him or hate him. Brady and Belichick want another Ring. #6.

I don't get comments like this. Those were not the same players, coaches 4 decades ago and sport history such as that has no meaning on current teams today.

True. But, if Minnesota had won all of the Superbowl Games. The Trophies would be encased somewhere. Regardless if it was decades ago.
