"Zero Hour" (1947) vs "Airplane!" (1980)

Someone sent me this interesting comparison. One is a drama from 1947, and the other is a comedy from 1980, but they are almost identical in both shots and dialog. The fact that both were written by Arthur Haley probably accounts for that.

Never knew that jerry, but I know which one I'd rather watch..Airplane is one of the funniest films ever made..great stuff!

Hilarious! Airplane is the funniest movie I have ever seen! Especially for old airline employees like me. I never knew that it was a parody of Zero Hour. In fact I never heard of Zero Hour! Thanks!
