This is a street shot taken in New Orleans 2016. This young man was with a group of 4 or 5 others on a street corner as most street buskers were.
When out on the streets, I really don't give much thought to my subject other than there is some sort of attraction that lures me into their world temporarily. However, it's not until afterwards, when I start post processing the images to my desire that I really take notice and examine the strangers I have captured. Not all have the same affect on me, but some do strike my curiosity more than others, which leaves me to wonder about, daily lives, then, now and future. What really is their life style. Are they still with us in this world? My curiosity and imagination runs wild at times and this image is just one that does just that. I wonder why? Is it because of his age, being young and possibly the same age, or close to my own son's age? Parents/relatives? Do they know his whereabouts, is he living on the streets and/or is he doing well? All these thoughts are rolling around in my head, only to know I cannot help !!!
Like a great many musicians, he is doing what he loves now.
As time goes by, his goals/priorities may change, but for now this is it.
I am struck by your subject’s penetrating eyes.
First-rate capture, Dave.
He looks like he is really upset because you entered his world unbidden. Those eyes scare me, drugs perhaps?
All I see is the intensity, makes me want to join him for a tune or two then drop $ in his can for the honor.
Wonderful evocative environmental portrait Dave. Especially like the partial fleur de lis showing on the refuse container (?). It gives a hint of the busker's locale.

Thanks John, the eyes are like daggers, aren't they?

Not the impression I get at all dragonfist. Eyes are one of the main key elements in any image where the face happens to be exposed, IMO. The expression is one of those you see in most guitar players that happens to be involved and focused with their playing ability. Thanks, for commenting, much appeciate. Here is another with part of the group he was with.

Thanks Dan, my observation as well !!! I left in the partial fleur de lis intentionally for that purpose, I appreciate you picking up on it.
