Nice Shootin, Jay.
Planning to go back zoomed in?
This is Prime Time to shoot The Great Orion Nebula.
Have fun!
Thanks Sonny. I definitely will zoom in next time (tonight weather permitting) and possibly add my 1.5 tele converter.

I would like to caution you....as you are walking in some very expensive waters. In fact, I have my social security check direct deposited at HightPoint Scientific. But it's worth every penny! Great first capture! Wide field milky way shots are a great way to get a feel of capturing some of the "up" nebulosity. Orion is a great target to learn on.....big, bright, and easy to identify make it No 1 for beginning astro imagers. I still love to revisit Orion and see what's cook'n up there.
Welcome!
Thanks Nikonshooter. It's seems all my hobbies are expensive....but You only live one life or is that many lives? I am slowly dipping my toes in the waters and plan on doing this as long as I can. I haven't been this excited about something since my grandson was born :)
Very nice start.
As Ed has warned you, this can be quite addictive.
I have been shooting for a few years and it never gets old.
Enjoy,
Jim
