Just started using the new version of Lightroom (Lightroom CC) How do you do red eye corrections in the upgraded version?
Thank you
See that "Help" link at the top of the LR screen? It should direct you to the answer. I switched to LR Classic, which has a redeye tool in the Develop module that's easy to use. Not familiar with the LR new cloud version
OOPS - Guess what, from the Adobe forums it looks like the new LR removed the redeye tool! What a wrong-headed move, IMHO.
My new recommendation: go back to Lightroom Classic. It is much more user-friendly and I can work around the cloud storage functions, etc.
If you are using the latest Lightroom CC (as opposed to Lightoom Classic CC), then, from what I read, you will find lots of things missing.
Lightroom Classic CC is the version that is most like the desktop version that existed before the new updates.
That is where you will find all of the familiar tools, including the redeye tool.

Yes it is removed in the "cloud new version" but not in Lightroom Classic which is also on the cloud. Keep in mind that the newer version Lightroom CC was designed for smartphones and tablets where the "Classic" version has all of the sliders for complete manipulation of your images. The new CC version is heavily simplified and fine for the cell phone and jpg images.

You can always use Photoshop. This is the best way I know to remove red-eye. Just because you can use redeye removal in Lr doesn't mean it's the best tool for the job.
https://phlearn.com/tutorial/remove-red-eye-photoshop/My workflow is set up to use Lr for broad adjustments, and Ps for finer adjustments. There is more control over where you apply the adjustments in Ps.
I agree. I prefer working in Photoshop.

Thank you
(1) Open the image in Photoshop from LR CC. See the third image below for how to do this.
(2) Select the Healing Brush Tool and go down to the bottom of the menu to select the red-eye Tool. (see 1st image below)
(3) Zoom in close to the eye. Closer than shown below. Click on the red portion of each eye.
(4) Save accordingly. NOTE: if you have opened the image from LR CC, you can click SAVE, the image will be saved non-destructively. It will appear as a stack in the film strip. However if you have opened the image separately in photoshop and the original is a JPEG, use SAVE AS so as not to destroy the original image.
