Very nice tonality. I think a bit of editing to keep the walls vertical is all that I'd suggest. Like seasoning in food, just a tiny bit. I don't think perfectly vertical would look all that good. But, the amount of perspective in this image is noticeable.

Yes, you're right. I actually considered doing that but didn't do it. Thanks very much!

To me, this is a vertical shot, with the sides, particularly the right side, cropped off. This should put more emphasis on the sign and less on the blank walls. IMHO you could probably go with a tad more contrast too. Nice shot! I enjoyed playing around with it.

A different point of view, such as a lower angled shot showing more of the walkway leading the viewer to the sign would have been an option. Both, a vertical and horizontal shot would have given a different perspectives as well. As it is, what you have is a couple of walls and a sign. Having said that, if at all possible I would go for a reshoot with a variety of different perspectives. Hope this helps.

Neat shot, but straighten it a bit, like Voss says.

I liked this shot and with the suggestions it would be improved. But, I love the alleyway SCAT Jazz Lounge. Where is this place? Scat singing is rare in this neck of the woods (palms). Thank goodness for SiriusXm.

You just don't see neon signs in alleys in this part of the world. It brings to mind the speakeasies of the 20s and 30s. Only they wouldn't have advertised their presence with neon. It looks like a place only someone who loves jazz would know about, or frequent. For me it's about the story and the feeling of the place than whether the lines of the buildings are straight. I see a place where people go to groove on jazz, a mixed crowd that doesn't care about how much you make or what car you drive or what color your skin happens to be. Good work!

I like it just the way it is. The walls give me the feeling of being in the alley. I think that would be lost of they were cropped any tighter. The angle on the walls give it just a little eeriness...what are you going to find in a jazz joint in an alley. I bet a night shot dimly lit from the neon sign would be cool. I'll have to try to remember to go there the next time I'm in FW. ;-) Thanks.
