Anyone having problems with Samsung Internet?

About a week ago or thereabout, Samsung put out a new release of their Internet browser, Samsung Internet. I often use a Samsung tablet to meander through the web and to read and post to UHH. Up until the latest release of Samsung Internet I've had absolutely no problems with this tablet. Now I keep getting error messages about the page becoming unstable or not responding and it wants a response to Wait or Cancel. Pressing wait usually just prolongs the wait time until I press the home button. Cancel reloads the session, most of the time. Sometimes virtual keyboard crashes. Anyone else experience this annoying phenomenon?

I get the same with Firefox. I believe it is caused by overloading too quickly. You can rectify by shutting off the unit. I'm considering another browser. Like Chrome.

Chrome is a good choice for me. No complaints.

I have Samsung Internet on my tablet and Note 8. Got the new release a few weeks ago. No issues here. Must be you.

Gee, thanks, that was really helpful. Now would you please explain how it must be me?! If I have a better understanding of what I'm doing incorrectly then maybe my tablet will stop doing what it's doing.

Only too happy to help. Stay away from porn sites; I understand they are infested with malware.

I also have Lookout installed on my Note 8 and my Note Pro tablet. Apart from that, it would be useful to record the sites that crash your browser and post them here (not as links) and the error message that you get.

I find the new Samsung Internet to be much more stable than the prior version.

What version of Android are you running?

I believe you have helped me stumble onto the cure. When I checked the OS version I found auto update turned off. I updated to most recent release of Android and problem gone...

Apparently I spoke to soon. It just did it again, although the frequency seems to be less.
I've run all my malware cleaning software and deleted a good bit of junk but the problem persists. Maybe I'll just use it as an excuse to get a new, better tablet.

That's always a great reason, not excuse, for a new tablet. Mine is 3 years old and aging rapidly. My Smartphone is brand new and works flawlessly with Samsung Internet.
