Hey Sky Soldier was in Viet Nam from April of 68 to May of 69 based out of LZ English and LZ Uplift spent most of the time humping a ruck in the Mountains of the Central Highlands,,,,God Bless You and Thank You for Your Service Paratrooper !!!

Thank you very much for the link. I have visited the American cemetery at Normandy and it truly was a beautiful heart warming experience but also brought many tears to both my wife and me. I was born in 1946 and recall my parents talking often of school mates who had been killed storming the beaches around the world, Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima or places like Normandy. Some had been killed in Europe and some during the island campaign. These men were not men at all but mere boys, just out of high school as was my brother and I in Vietnam. Children fight our wars for us and many never get to be any older.

Those of you who read my posts know that I often say we owe these veterans everything. I will say that until the day I die.

Got the grand tour in '67&'68. Made stops in Saigon, Long Bing, Nha Trang, Quin Nohn, Pleiku, DaNang and a couple more I can't remember. MACV Signal Corp.

Spent 20 years in the USAF but was never in a war zone. I salute all who have served especially those who fought. All who serve are very special and deserve respect. For you, I say Mahalo for your service.
