There is nothing wrong with what you say, but the "photos of pretty girls" can be improved by paying attention to a lot of other aspects of photography long before one worries about brand of strobe. Pretty girl aside, I just feel the backgrounds are not only too plain, but also distracting in the 2nd and 3rd images. The baseboard line is crooked, and the light switch on the wall takes my attention from the girl. In that regard, the plainness of the wall in your first image is better, although you still include a crooked baseboard. Maybe crop it out.
