I get so tired of fake stories, here is the truth ----Despite the claims of hundreds of Vietnam veterans who maintain they were “there” and affirm that accounts like the “smuggled Social Security number betrayal” are true because they supposedly witnessed them, the fact is that Fonda met only seven American POWs while in North Vietnam: Edison Miller, Walter Wilber, James Padgett, David Wesley Hoffman, Kenneth James Fraser, William G. Byrns, and Edward Elias. None of those men reported her sabotaging their attempts to slip her information about themselves, and anyone other than those seven men who asserts he was “there” and witnessed such a scene is simply not telling the truth.

I watched the video. Then I watched one that she did in recent years. She stated that she would give up her right arm to have the photo with the AA gun go away. She regrets a lot she did at that time and rightfully so. Out of respect for this forum and its intent, I will leave my comments at that and will have no more to say about her.... To all my brothers and sisters who served during that period, God Bless you one and all and Welcome Home....

Snopes has been proven wrong more than once or twice, i certainly wouldn't rely on them for a factual account.

This is a photographic web site that I enjoy, but perpetuating and passing on a false story is one of the big problems that we have in this wonderful country of ours. When I see it being done, I can't stand by and let it pass. I don't agree with the method of Fonda's misguided protests of the war. But the story of her passing notes to the enemy was debunked long ago. There are many web sites that will tell the facts. snopes.com factcheck.org - thoughtco.com - reason.com - heli-vets.net - truthorfiction.com are just a few. I would much rather talk about the wonderful photos that are created and displayed here. I will not respond to any more question or comments about this subject. If you want to know more about it, do your own research.
