My previous experiences with KEH had been in purchasing used lenses and I was happy with the process; went quickly and well.
I had a lens that I no longer needed nor could use since the mount would not fit my current cameras. I is relatively new.
Got what I thought was an okay quote from them sight unseen, printed the FedEX label and sent it it. FedEx tracking indicated they received it the next day. That was two weeks ago.
Last week I received an email, about a week after they received it, indicating they would have their tech review it.
Then, surprisingly, got the same email three days later.
Have not heard anything sense.
Is this common? I know they must received hundreds of items weekly, if not daily.

I have purchased one lens at KEH and the transaction went smoothly and the lens looked almost new a performed flawlessly. Also, I have sold a camera body and four lenses through them. I rated all this camera equipment as like new. They provided an online price.. They sent me a mailing label and had the equipment professionally packed and had the company send it directly via Fed Ex to KEH. If I recall, it took KEH about a few days to confirm that they had received my data and that a technician will check it out. A few days later they confirmed that my assessment of the quality of my camera gear was correct. About a week later I received a check in the mail for the full amount of the online amount. The transaction was very strait forward and I would deal with KEH again since my two transaction with them has been stellar.

It's a little slow, but, sometimes they have extra heavy volume of used stuff coming in.
My only dealings with selling them something was in person, not online....Buying from them or returning things all went smoothly and promptly.

Don't worry about it. KEH is a good company. I sent my Nikon in for a recall. Two days after I got it back, I got a letter saying they had received it. I guess the clerical dept can't keep up with the service dept. : )
Have had several good experiences with KEH as both a buyer and seller. Found them to be honest and fair tho not always the speediest organization. Strongly suggest calling them directly to follow up.

I have been selling to KEH for many years and never had a problem. I must admit they have become much slower than in years past.

KEH's purchasing reps are mostly out of the store for the month of October, they are travelling the USA and Canada doing purchase events at local camera stores. They were here in my store last Friday and Saturday. Things will get back to normal there later this week or early next week.
Have sold to them twice. It does take a while, so don't worry. They're good
No problems with KEH both buying and selling
I just had my experience with KEH and it went like this: I went to their website and they have listed all of the equipment I want to sell to them. The listing consists of grades and a range of price for each item. I completed the form and listed my equipment as I thought as appropriate in terms of condition. I also agreed to accept the lower range of price if they determined the condition was not as good as I thought. The long and short of the excersise is they came in $400 lower than the lowest (pre inspection) prices and I asked them to return my equipment. I am very dissatisfied with them and would not recommend this company to anyone.

KEH always has a backlog of received items. Sometimes I've seen a lag time from arrival at the dock to inspection of the item of three weeks. Don't panic! You can always call them and they'll tell you where in the queue your item is.
