My Sony DSC HX400V has E:62.10 error and I have been attempting to find a reputable repair service. I would like to know if anyone has used Camcorder and Camera Repair Center located at 1947 West Glendale Blvd, Glendale, CA 91201.
I live in the Cleveland Ohio area and no one repairs this camera. They all send it out to a third party.
I posted a similar question a few weeks ago under a different topic. Sorry if I am repeating myself.
Thanks in advance.

Call Sony for their suggestion. I assume you can send it to them rather than a third party.

Closer to home is Camtronics here in Columbus. Their website is http://camtronicscamerarepair.com/. Or you can call them at 614-357-1489. They have repaired a couple of Sony's for me at a very reasonable price.

Call CRIScam in Arizona. I have used them on several occasions and liked the quality and service. Don't know if they will work on it but if not they will know a reliable alternative.

Acat1234 ... I live in Connecticut and when I called Sony Repair Customer Service (in Malaysia) they told me to send my a58 to a place in Texas. I did, and they sent it back, three weeks later, telling me there was nothing wrong with it. So I continued to try to use it, again - and became all the more frustrated, as all the reds seemed even MORE orange, than they were, the first time I sent it to them. So, I sent it back, again. A week later, it came right back - with all their supposed tests done on their OWN calibration system ... in a pig's eye!!! ... Later, after many calls, they offered me a free camera from their site, AND a buy-back of the a58. When I picked an a99 - they backed off the original offer, and just stayed with the buyback. I am still fuming!!! ... And pondering ....!!!

I just had my 5 year old Sony HDR-CX190 camcorder repaired by PCVR in Enfield CT. They also handle Olympus
The SONY web site directed me to PCVR.
I was very pleased with the fast turnaround and that the repair (a software issue) wound up costing a lot less than the original flat rate estimate.
In addition to correcting my problem, the recorder was thoroughly cleaned.

Bill - the place in Enfield, though, is pay-as-you-go ....

The place in Amarillo is an Authorized Sony Repair Centre .... all repairs handled under warranty ....

Called CRISCAM in Arizona. They directed me to Sony.

Thanks very much for the suggestion. I think my camera in the "expensive throw away" category based on number of shops who do not do repair. Oh well, I will keep looking g.

Acat1234 - you know, the Sony telephone support people should be able to tell you on the phone what that error message refers to. Don't say that - about it being a throw-away. That's the most recent Sony bridge camera. There should be all kinds of support available for it. The thing is, though - being that it's relatively inexpensive - they may not be willing to repair it at an authorized Sony Repair Center - which is more for DSLRs and mirror-less designs. But you should be able to get it looked at, at most of the repair facilities you've already been given. But, I suspect the first thing you want to do - is find out what that message is about. You might find it refers to something simple you can correct yourself. Here's a thought - do you have the original battery in it? ... If it's a replacement battery, is it a Sony one, or not? ... Do you charge it, outside of the camera, or do you use the cable?
If you charge it outside of the camera, next time try charging it INSIDE, using the cable that came with it. See if that helps ....

Re: E:62:10 Error code on RX100
Aug 13, 2012
After searching on the Internet, found out this error code had been seen in previous Sony CyberShot cameras. Seems to be something related to stabilization circuit.

The reported fix was to remove battery and card, and gently slap the sides of the camera. This fixes the problem on the RX100 for me. Photos seem fine. Will report if I see any further problems. Kinda wished I had purchased the extended warranty...
