This is how we fry eggs in Arizona in the summer. (It was only 127.6 degrees in the sun when this picture was taken-- but then, it's only June. Wait until it gets hot!)

Glad I live in the fog belt for a whole variety of reasons. My energy bills for air conditioning are minimal, and heating in winter isn't too bad either.

It's nice and sunny, and a comfortable 75 degrees.

The heat never bothered me. It was mowing the yard in January just seemed wrong.

I think I would find a spatula with a wooden handle or some asbestos gloves to handle that spatula & frying pan.

We live about 30 miles east of San Francisco and it was between 108.1 and 115.2 between last Sunday and Thursday in our backyard. We viewed that as an opportunity to go to the coast for Thursday and Friday (to Pacific Grove, where the highs were around 73). It finally got below 100 (down to 97.0) today for the first time since June 15, when it was 98.5. As they say, at least it was a dry heat though, with the RH between 7 and 9% on the above 100 days. Oh well. I'd rather it be hot than have to deal with snow.

It is hot here when it reaches 78 (80 is a heat wave) and it is cold her when it get down to 42. Heating and cooling bill is not real high but we have to cook on the stove.
