I would appreciate any opinions on the Canon Pro-100 or the Pro-1000. Thanks!
I have a Pro-100 and like it. Wireless is great. I gave away my Pro-9000 Mark II and bought the Pro-100. There wasn't anything wrong with the Pro-9000 except it wasn't wireless. Now I can put the printer in another room where it's not in my way. Love it. Prints are very nice.
I've had a Pro-100 for a few years and like the wire less ability. I don't have enough room on my desk for a printer that large but since it is wireless that doesn't enter into the equation. It sits across the room. It also has an eight tank system which allows for very dramatic prints. I would buy it again and I recommend it to my friends.
My local camera store sells the Pro-1000, and I believe have one as part of their rent and print service. I know they have a Pro-10 and few Pro-100s. They tried to sell me one when they first came out (not very hard, they know I am a retired teacher).

I would love to own that Pro-1000. I go to the Canon Learning center once a month and they print one of my images free of charge on their Pro-1000. I love that printer.
I have (a Pro-100) and it is a great printer, I've been using it for a year or two. Some folks will complain about the cost of ink, but what I have done is I bought a full set of O.E.M. Canon cartridges from Canon, they also sent a bunch of free paper, and when a cartridge runs out of ink I replace it with one from the full set. when I have used 3 cartridges from the set, I order 3 replacement cartridges direct from Canon's Website at 16.99 each. Canon has always sent a bunch of free Canon Paper with my order. An example: I ordered 3 cartridges yesterday and I am getting those cartridges plus 100 sheets of 8.5x11 Matte Paper, 50 sheets of 13x19 Semi-Gloss Paper and 50 Sheets of 13x19 Pro-Luster Paper. My total cost is $50.97, not bad in my opinion.

So the 1000 won't print a 16x24? I thought the length was unlimited. Can you use roll paper on that model?
Upgraded firmware on the Pro-1000 will allow you to print up to 17x25. I have several 16x24 prints framed and hanging on my walls. Pigment inks will also provide greater longevity.
I purchased the Pro-1000 in October after years of trouble free service from a Pro-9000, and the images it produces are stunning. Highly recommend.
I just set my new Pro-1000 up today. I was able to sell my Pro-100 for $300 to a friend. I gave him 2 brand new sets of ink to go with it. About the only think I don't like about the Pro-1000 is that the ink cartridges are about 1/2 full/empty after initializing. It only happens once since it has to fill a bunch of tubes with ink first. I had also heard that it will print 17x25. It may not be a standard size you can choose from in a drop down, but you can make a custom size print using those dimensions.

Congrats on the purchase - the Pro-1000 is an amazing printer!
I noticed the same thing regarding ink levels after setting up. It takes alot of ink to fill those tubes, but its not wasted. Also, take the graphic display of ink remaining with a grain of salt - the printer continues to print for a very long time after the ink level shows as low.

I currently still use the Canon pro 9000 mk2 ( have 2 of them ) and have always been unhappy with the prints. the prints never have really matched my calibrated monitors . Through lots of research , its now my understanding that the 9000 mk2 simply prints warm . did you notice a more accurate looking print when you upgraded to the pro 1000 ?
I have a Pro 100 (couldn't resist the $59 net cost on a rebate) and Pro 1000, and both produce outstanding images that closely track with my color managed workflow. I use the Pro 100 for proofing and smaller prints, and the Pro 1000 for final larger prints. Color fidelity has been spot on, and the prints are spectacular.
