I had a pro create a logo for me, which one do you like, and why? and would you change anything in it.

I like the first one very much. I would only use the second one to specifically promote drone photography. >Alan

I don't like the first one. It seems to indicate that you were captured by a camera in some sort of game.
"Captured" and "Moments" need to be right next to each other.
In the second one, I would enlarge the camera and have that where the drone is.
Then I would have a very small drone in the bottom right corner and a very small camera in the bottom left. If you shoot video, make the small one on the left a video camera.

I been designing logos for over 50 years #2 is the on you want. It tells what you do at a one look, clean, and to the point. People are into pictures more then word, a picture is worth a 1,000 words. Your the future of photography drones and videos. You can take stills off of video, I've done it, so can you. So from an old man of 77 video is your photography future.

Use #2 but take off by James, when get a domain name, business cards, face book, web site, then watch all the work come in. With what you have going with in a year you will be asking where to put the money.

my phone # is not on it, and are you saying a drone is a bad thing to place on there? I do drone photography as a service with my photography.

LoL, I thought the drone was a FROG! Seriously. I thought it was representing nature photography.
Was not obvious to me. Am I the only one?

As a publisher and a former copy editor who deals daily with the importance of trademarks, logos and distinctive graphic images, my first impression is that your second monochromatic image is strongest, with this recommendation:

In the immortal words of the 20th Century poet, e.e. cummings, when asked if he'd 'd hit a woman with a child, he replied: "Hell no! I'd hit her with a brick." So you might want to ask yourself just what is your "brick?" And how do you hit your particular customer base with that "classic brick?" In other words: in a single word-image what is it you want them to immediately grasp, understand and know without even having to think?

While drone imaging may be what you're seeing as your current specialty, the camera is your "tell-all" symbol. As a professional photographer in years to come, you may eventually work without using a drone, and you will surely incorporate many new technologies in your work as they come into use. But the camera, in whatever iteration it morphs into, will always be your primary tool and it's thus a good thing to emphasize this as you refine and select your logo. We don't need hands around your symbolic camera to ascertain its function, that's always an association everyone all ages and in all walks of life can glance at and understand. However, at least in my case, the drone image took a moment to register and interpret. That's a factor you want to avoid. A realistic guideline is to keep your logo clean, simple, immediately communicative and understandable.

Hit 'em with a brick, kid.

I like the second one, but it would make me think that you mostly do drone photography. Somehow toning down the drone aspect without dropping it completely might make it more clear. I think it is good to use us as your "focus group" - free advice - some of it worth every penny! But you do want to know how others will view your business card.

Hi. I personally prefer the 2nd one for the layout. But if you plan to reproduce these on your own, be aware that the black background will eat up your black ink supply in a hurry. A lighter color might look better. I'm sensitive to this because I used to service photocopy machines and had customers complain about high ink usage. When I checked what they were copying (lots of dark background, image &/ text), I explained why the high ink usage. If you plan on having the business cards printed by someone else, ask whether the cost would be different with a lighter background. ....... Hope this helps.

I think both could be misleading. Do you take stills, drone photography or both? Could confuse the clients you are trying to get.

When it comes to artwork everyone is going to have an opinion. Take what seems to resonate with you.
