Multiple Strikes

Spring is here and I'm very excited about the upcoming thunder storms so that I can get more photos like this one. This is a long exposure of a storm that came by my house a couple of years ago. I didn't have my tripod with me so I sat my camera on the seat of the Buggy. The wind was blowing pretty hard so I got a little camera shake. Not too bad though for the length of exposure.

Good shot Audie. I'm impressed! No tripod? That much more impressive!
The huge one on the far left is so much different. Way cool.
Thanks for the smile,
Marion

This is something I've always intended to do but haven't done yet. Thanks for the inspiration ....... I like this one a lot. I've got a Manfrotto tripod just begging to be put to good use.

Excellent, Audie. One of my favorite things from Kansas. Lived in SE Kansas for several years & I remember driving around with friends late at night during Thunder storms with classical music cranked on the car radio.

Excellent Capture! I'm with you, bring on the spring storms (just no tornado's).

Great shot Audie! So many strikes in one frame. I've wanted to try that for a long while, but we get very few thunderstorms where I live.

I've been trying to get something like this for years but have never been able to. I'm in East Texas and the combination of hills and large trees everywhere make it hard to find somewhere with a good view that doesn't put you as the highest thing, and therefore a good target for the lightning you are trying to shoot. It is an incredible shot.
