Same "option" the Clintons used to reduce their tax liability.

A woman walks into an accountant's office and tells him that she needs to file her taxes.
The accountant says, "before we begin, I'll need to ask you a few questions."
"He gets her name, address, Social security number, etc. and then asks, "what's your occupation?"
"I'm a Lady of the night," she says.
The accountant is somewhat taken aback and says, "let's try to rephrase that."
"The woman says, "ok, I'm a high-end call girl."
"No, that still won't work. Try again."
"They both think for a minute; then the woman says, "I'm an elite chicken farmer."
The accountant asks, "what does chicken farming have to do with being a prostitute?"
"Well, I raised a thousand little peckers last year."
The accountant says, "Chicken Farmer it is."

If you owned a business, as I have in the past, you must be pretty damned stupid not to take advantage of every tax provision and loop holes that you can. Incidentally, your political remarks belong in the Attic not in this section!

Thank you saving me the time to type what you just said here ! It really DOES belong in the Attic !

But how do we listen and have someone who does not feel paying some shared responsibility into the country collection pot.
This is not political but a matter of character.

He's taking advantage of the laws that are there for ALL of us. He didn't write them; he just follows them. Way to take the fun out of a good joke.

Funny thing is, years ago outside LaGrange, TX, and known to many a Texas Aggie, was "The Chicken Ranch," later immortalized in "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," both a broadway play and movie.

This is the comment you made that prompted my remark about your post:
It's typical for liberals to make commentary on subjects they know nothing about. They think they are sounding intelligent but the results are just the opposite. They come across as total dumb asses.

I apologize I knew it was a joke. And with the POTUS the joke is on us.

I have been an entrepreneur for many years and owned a few businesses and do exploit my deductions legally as far as I can.
The other issue which is not a joke its the IRS and the State I lived in PA were guilty of harassing mistakes many times over the years.
Up until a couple of years ago the state I moved out of 8 months ago was claiming I owed them 39K because they couldn't find
my 1998 corporate filed form. They gave my case to a predatory Texas collection company that annoyed me for years.
What happened they took my off Chapter S and wanted me to pay for years for 7 years they removed me. Never notified
me. The IRS would send notices at least twice a year that my accountant would try and get straightened out. You owe us money
we didn't get his or that form. Even a bank stop one time. The state had irrational notices about money owed. I paid taxes on time
we kept copies of returns and payments. Do most folks know this has been going on for years.
Even if you are diligent in paying and keeping records.

I can sympathize. Once you get "into the system," all logic departs, and you are stuck with bureaucrats and computers.

Substitute the word "conservative" for the word "liberal" and the same sentence makes just as much sense. Both sides have made so many inaccurate, misleading, and outright stupid statements, that it buggers the imagination. Neither side is the right side - not even most of the time. They're only approximations of the truth. Granted, occasionally, reality does show through, but it is up to us to look carefully at such statements to ferret out what's real or not. Emotional responses interfere with understanding the reality of the world.

When I first moved here to Nevada (where prostitution is legal in some areas, not all) I worked for three years at a tax preparation firm. One client I had was one of the ladies from the near-by brothel. I guess I could have said her occupation was Chicken Farmer.

Speaking of "brothel", I was at a family gathering many years ago and we were playing a word game where you had a bunch of tiles with letters on them and a rack to hold the tiles for a word you spelled and the others would call out letters to see if you had it. My word was "brothel". The others guessed all the letters except for the last one. They wanted to go with brother. I was the last one standing and nobody could come up with that last letter until one of the other players cheated, grabbed the tile and flipped it over.

This funny joke has deteriorated into one more bashing/name calling opportunity. Sorry to see this. I have lots of considerations about Pounder's last comment. It's a glittering, ignorant generality!! I'm sorry to see you support it, Brian.

UHH should make a new section called " The Outhouse" for the people you can't tell a joke from the hole in their arse.
