Life is happening busily (and probably noisily) in Paris. Great image, Bob.

Thanks rjay. I'd say I have to agree with you about that.

Great photo and it provided a nice memory of my time in Europe. Different country, but same outdoor setting.

I find this street scene quite fascinating, and has some sort of ghostly look, I think it was taken through a window.
It was obviously taken some years ago as French cars no longer use that style of number plate when I looked at the Exif data, this is what I discovered:

Camera: Panasonic DMC-FZ50
Lens: 17.7 mm
(Max aperture f/2.8)
Exposure: Auto exposure, Program AE, 1/250 sec, f/5.6, ISO 400
Flash: Off, Did not fire
Date: September 6, 2008 6:18:50PM (timezone not specified)
(8 years, 4 months, 24 days, 8 hours, 29 minutes, 41 seconds ago, assuming image timezone of US Pacific)
File: 2,048 × 1,789 JPEG (3.7 megapixels)
1,592,900 bytes (1.5 megabytes)
Color Encoding: Embedded color profile: “sRGB”

I still have one of these cameras I keep it in my car just in case although I do use my smartphone more often.
I still consider this photograph very interesting and full of fascinating details such as the clock and the other shop and cafes in the background.

Thanks Bob. I know that feeling ....... I spent a lot of time in Rome in my early 20's and remember it fondly.

I find this street scene quite fascinating, and ha... (show quote)
Thanks John. That "ghostly look" is from a textured background layer that I blurred ever so slightly, darkened a bit, applied the texture, then used the opacity slider to blend the two layers together. I masked the man and women from this background treatment so they would be the center of attention in a very busy street scene.

Ahhhhh Nice !!! Love this style of processing Bob, not to mention the street shot itself. Outstanding from start to finish.

Thank you Dave. I like to think of the style as subtle impressionism, and the image as people-watching at its best.

Wow! They couldn't have been seated more perfectly to complement the existing architectural linear perspective.
Good eye; good processing!

You know it is for real but it has an artistic watercolour feel about it. Pavement cafes are normal here so there is another subject for me to capture people. Still it is a super shot, nicely composed. The colour took me back for a second but it really works.

Thank you SATS. The street like is nonpareil in Paris (well, perhaps Rome).
