Well, when I read about what bills do what in the newspaper, I assume everyone else to. One needs no research to realize there were core reasons for the past election. No research is needed to understand the Democrats had better understand them. Whether they act accordingly depends on their backbones. Whether a source is left, right, or middle leaning counts only if the shade and shave the facts of a situation. One of my favorite pieces of advice is to read and STUDY the otherside. Jabbering in the echo chamber is just jabbering, no new understanding. One of the strengths of our system in the past been in the art of compromise - that skill has been lost and the losers will be the vast middle. I thing another change in our society has been the ascension of the 'I win I get you lose twice' attitude. They very rich have bought the system and the rest of us are left to their crumbs. If you are not wealthy, you will get the sane crumbs regardless of your vote.

The United States Senatorial voting since 2012 has resulted in Republican Senators, who number 52 out of 100, receiving 54.8 million votes. By contrast, Democratic Senators, the remaining 48 Senators, have received 78.4 million votes, 23.5 million more votes collectively than the Republican contingent, a 59-41 percent majority for Democrats, if it were a straight head-to-head election. The Senate, then, is ruled by only 41 percent of the American electorate in our Democracy. This anomaly of American democracy is a carryover compromise the Constitutional Convention had to make in order for the Southern Slave States to agree and to sign our Constitution out of concern that the lesser populated South would be outnumbered in any Congressional vote to abolish slavery. Similar to the Electoral College, wherein Clinton won the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes, this ancient compromise leaves the majority of Americans subject to Senatorial rule by a group distinctly in the minority of American citizens. The Democrats in the House of Representatives in 2012 won 1.17 million more votes than Republicans, yet they only won 46.21 percent of the seats. In 2014, Republicans won 52 percent of votes in House races, yet won 57 percent of the seats. In 2016, The Democrats won 48% of the total votes for House candidates to the Republicans 49%, yet the Republicans won 55% of the seats. (Independent votes bring the total to 100%.) The American electorate majority is severely under-represented in all three: the presidency, the senate and the house of representatives. America is a democracy wherein majority does NOT rule.

And Republicans have the unmitigated gall to claim a "mandate". Freaking pack of thieves, corporate and NRA pimps, and colossal liars.

Pure tripe. The country never was intended to be a democracy. It protects the imdovidual from tyranny of the majority. Majority consensus does not guarantee justice or the rights of individuals will be protected. You cannot truthfully claim to be for minority rights if you aren't an ardent protector of individual rights as the imdovidual is the smallest minority on earth.

Democracy has been defined some as 3 lions and 1 impala deciding on lunch.
I don't disagree

The impala was the only one who walked away.
The lions were liberals and died waiting for the government to care for them.

Perhaps my question to you was a bit unclear, the research and statistics that I was inquiring about was not about the democrat party, it was about this assertion that you made....

"Republicans stand in direct enrighment of the Aristocratic 1% will continue unabated. Right now the Republicans are working to transfer your Social Security and Medicare deducted monies to the 1%. Everyone loses including the liberal haters here."

I am highly skeptical that statement was little more than hyperbole, I would love to see information that you have found that allowing a worker to have some control over how his social security contribution is invested amounts to nothing more than transferring that workers hard earned monies to the Aristocratic 1%. I would like to see analysis and opinions of serious economists on the issue, folks like Krugman are anything but serious so please lets not bring he or anyone like him into the discussion.

Keep on a pushin' A$$HOLE. You're demonstrating how UNEDUCATED and STUPID you really are. Of course several of the largest states are filled with libtards (just like you), but they only get to vote for TWO Senators, you blithering idiot. Likewise, in those same large "retarded" states, some of the smaller districts go Republican (think Orange County in Kalifornica). Guess you CRYBABY SNOWFLAKES will NEVER be intelligent enough to figure anything out on your own, eh ?? By the way, talking about pimps, guess you were out there "PIMPING" for the "lyingwhitchwhench"..... And, WE ALL know who the COLOSSAL LIARS really were; every time hildabeastie or obumzercrook open their mouths, out spew another set of lies. Were you actually able to keep you own Doctor, and did you health insurance premiums go down by $2,500? Did chillary actually take sniper fire (need I go on, you moronic imbecile?)?????

Okay, I see your question. I have personally done no research, but I have read in various places statements about privatising Social Security which means your part of the money will be shared with a for-profit plan. Your benefits go down to pay high salaries and bonuses to management and dividends tl stockholders. Vouchering Medicare to buy insurance has the sane effect. Now, of course, the devil is in the details and that has yet to happen. To be sure, there will be small armies of lobbyists in the bill crafting and latter regulation writing. To get an eyeball on how that works check out Steven Brill's "Ameirica's Biiter Pill" - it chronicals the before and after process of the PPACA. It makes for instructive reading.

Guys......We have to STOP with all this CRAP about Trump not winning the majority vote.

It's a done deal.

Move on.

Speculating about what he might or might not do in the future is pointless.

Let's see what he actually does, or doesn't do, based on his campaign promises and then we can comment.
