I was wondering if anyone would share the type of photo paper they are using? Also what printer is everyone using?

Last weekend, someone posted about a couple Red River and was pleased with the results. I just got some samples from Red River at
www.redriverpaper.com. I haven't really tested too much, but did print a couple of cards that came out really good.
I have two printers Epson Stylus Photo 1400, which does very nice photos and an HP Photosmart C8180 which does nice work as well. I perfer the Epson over all and feel it gives a more real print of what is on the computer. HP bightens the colors and can be nice, but not what's on the screen.
I use an Epson 3800 Pro printer with great results. I mostly use Epson papers of varying types. I rarely use a high gloss paper as I like the matte and presentation 100% rag papers. I have used other paper with good results as well.
Epson paper is supposedly the best, but I don't know because that is what I've always used...someone on this site told me that Costco's brand is actually Epson produced, and it prints nicely at one tenth of the price.
Hi, I use a Canon Mark II 9000 with Canon Pro Platinum with good results. Have also used Epson paper and found it good also. Plan on trying the Red River. Bee

I often heard that matching the brand of paper to the brand of printer is a safe way to go - same with ink, if you are after top quality. I do very little photo printing, so it's not an issue for me. I stick with Canon and HP paper, to match my printers.
Hello; There are several outstanding photopapers that can be used; I use Ilford gold fibre silk for portraits and I am pleased with the results; I would also recommend Inkpress. I do not use glossy paper at all. For printing I use a Cannon 9500 Pro mkll. Please note that the papers mentioned are printed using an ICC profile. I have yet to calibrate the monitor
I use the Epson Pro 3800 printer and Epson Ultra Premium Luster paper. My landscapes look good on this paper. The texture and sheen remind me of the look of B&W fiber glossy papers from my darkroom days. But it is essential to calibrate your monitor and then calibrate the paper and printer to the monitor. The results are amazingly accurate and beautiful. Of course, you need a beautiful image to begin with. :-)
I use Red River paper exclusively! Awesome paper and not as expensive as Epson and HP papers. My printer, the Epson Stylus Photo R1900
