This was taken, hand held at 9:13 from my deck using a Nikon D600 and 80-400mm lens.
The shutter was set to 1/1250 aperture at f5.6 and ISO at 200. The lens was set to 400mm.
I shot in burst mode to reduce shake and that works very well when hand holding.

I wonder if you could have added a tint of orange using PS or Lightroom even though the moon is bright white when you took it, I guess. Excellent pix. I'll have to save this post under my "helpful photo hints" folder. ~FiddleMakerNov 15, 2016 07:51:46 #
No added color. It has this tint when it is rising because you are looking at it through the lower atmosphere horizontally and less atmosphere once it get well above the horizon where it appears more white
