A few shots taken whilst in New York last weekend. Great time with only disappointment that both B+H and Adorama were both closed due to holidays. Highlight was the Top of the Rock, which I would recommend to all, queues way shorter than Empire State Building and whole experience far better!

Super photos, of a super city. I gotta know how you made that shot of the traffic on 6th ave. (no native of the city will ever callit Avenue of the Americas). I'm guessing you had to be in some kind of vehicle. Amazingly sharp-had to be hand held. Can't stand in the middle of the intersection and live to tell about it.

Thanks, Just hand held with 24-70mm and stood opposite the intersection.... lucky with the timing!

Nice photos. I visited NYC a couple months ago and posted a couple sets of photos here on UHH. I agree with your comment about the Top of the Rock vs. the Empire State building. Didn't try to go to the Statue, just got photos of it on the way to Staten Island on the ferry. Looked like there was a humongous line waiting to get in. I really liked the subway system. Probably wouldn't care that much for it if I had to commute on it on a daily basis. I did get to B&H. Didn't buy anything but I was impressed with all the stuff. However seeing all that stuff didn't entice me to buy anything. My GAS is pretty well cured at this time.

Great share. Skyline has changed a bit, but you have evoked 7 years of transformative memories. Can almost smell the street vendors wares.
