These were shot in a drive-by from a bus. There was no chance to get out and take time but I thought it was a really cool looking building so I took a couple of shots. Please download and do what you want with them and let me know how to make them look better.

Liked the first darker image - more of the lights inside the buildings are visible, lending more life to the totem-like scene.

You might try to even the horizon (more evident in the slighly pulled back perspective of the second image), raising right side and lowering the left just a smidgen. The comment applies, tho, to both.

Interesting architecture! Where is this? I agree that the first photo is "better". The second is marred by the diagonal (power?) line in the way...

I took a stab at straightening the perspective using Photoshop, Edit/Transform/Perspective. Spent about 10 minutes. This was the result.

It is the Lippo building in Hong Kong. All I got was a few snapshots from the bus. We were going to go down-town the next day and take photos and generally hang out and have fun but that was the day the typhoon hit and the next day we had to leave. That's OK, it gives me an excuse to go back. :-)

That is an interesting perspective although the sides and front should be the same size. It looks like it might be a hard building to photograph based on the examples in this link

Didn't realize the true shape until I looked at the link you posted. May not be possible to warp your photo into a true perspective. Or at least it may not be possible for me. Very unique building. Reminds me a bit of transformers.

Thanks anyway, overall it was kind of a weird trlp to Hong Kong but at the same time unique and not just a typical tourist trip. :-)

Beautiful building. I haven't been to Hong Kong in many, many years.

Very unique building. Think that the main thing here is to take an understandably hastily taken photograph and tidy it up a bit. Hopefully you will get another chance to photograph this one in the future. I chose the one with the most building in it. Some perspective adjustments and straightening unfortunately lost a bit more of the bottom than I wanted but that was the compromise. Think that if you were standing across the street looking up, the building would appear tilted back like this. The towers are identical (almost) so I left one a bit higher than the other just for ease and fun, also left surrounding buildings but got rid of the "Lynch" logo as it was a big eye trapper. Erased the wire as well.

Lots of other stuff to do for better colour and contrast but I think this shows the general idea.

It is a unique building. I'd planed on doing a quality shoot of it the following day but the day got wiped out with a level 8 typhoon.
I haven't been to Texas in years and it is my home. My house is in Killeen and my kids are in Austin and Fort Worth.

Thanks, I like your work. I've learned a lot from posting this. Yes I hope to get a chance to do it right. I live in South Korea and Hong Kong is only a few hours and few hundred dollars round trip but there are so many places to go it may be a year or so before I get another chance.
