I thought B & H Photo had the best prices for lenses but after checking out the price for a Tokina on Amazon, I was shocked to see that the same Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X116 Pro DX II Digital Zoom Lens was $ 152 cheaper on Amazon. I am hoping that here in China it may be even cheaper.
Was curious where UHH members got their equipment from?

I've been using B&H for over 20 years.
Amazon (prime subscriber)
Adorama
BH
eBay (I look for best offer new products)
I also buy from Amazon so long as the supplier is Amazon. They guarantee returns.
B & H, Amazon Prime, Costco and Sam's. Costco and Sam's have the best return policy, with Amazon and B&H close behind. Costco also adds an extra year warranty for free.
B&H or Amazon for me most of the time. Both with free shipping, B&H gets it to me next day while Amazon Prime is typically 2 (or more). On expensive items it comes down to where I get the best cash back. Amazon gets me 3% on a credit card. B&H sometimes has 4% bonus cash + I still get 1% on a credit card.
Lately, so much that I look at it is "out of stock", so when it is time to buy the sale goes to whoever has it in stock.

I buy from B&H and Best Buy. I like both. I use Best Buy because I have a 45 day return option with my account – and I have used it with no questions asked.
B&H sells photographic equipment. Amazon sells everything including things they never see, never even know what they are. That's why I would go for B&H for things I can't get locally. I use the local dealers first.
B&H because they sell USA MANUFACTURERS warranty products. On occasion they will offer you gray market. Customer Service with B&H is not an issue ever.

Amazon is world-wide and has access to different markets. I shop Amazon for many things and they come through every time. But be aware that with photographic equipment it may not always come with a US warranty. That's OK if it saves you enough money to make it worth while and you know it up front. As far as I know they stand behind their offerings and resolve any issue. I have never had one with them.
B&H on the other hand may not be the lowest price but with them you know what you're getting, their return policy is excellent and if the item is in stock the shipments are prompt. I prefer to buy from B&H USA warranty and sometimes "Grey Market" when ever I can. The pit falls of grey market are mostly speculated.
Occasionally I go elsewhere when items are on back order.
B&H
Amazon
Adorama
KEH...just purchased a Canon 2X II extender from them, price was good, shipping prompt and grading spot on.It was my first time buying from them and very satisfied.

I use B&H & Adorama for new and used and KEH for used. I have used Amazon but you have you be careful of the sellers these days if you're buying used. Watch their seller rating and reviews.

I don't think
Asia paul, location Vietnam is overly concerned about USA warranty.
