Red Bellied Woodpecker I need to know what I am doing right or wrong.... even with cropping Please if anyone could help Thanks!!
I would crop an inch of the tree off on the right side. The way he is right now is too bulls-eyed for my taste. I like the way the left background side is blurred. Good capture of the woodpecker at his nest.

Nice shot nancy, I agree do not put your subject in the bullseye ,crop a little to the left.

Leave it as it is. The tree is the setting and the size adds drama.
Great shot of the wood pecker. I would make a copy and try cropping it and see how it looks. Thanks for sharing.

Welcome to a fellow Ontarian, the subject of your photo to me seems to be to centered but I am no expert. My mind just flipped back to when I was part of a tobacco picking crew in the Tillsonburg area, keep on with the photos. REJ.
I like it. The bird is not bullseyed. Just enough off center to be a pleasing photo.
