Just returned from Africa trip and wanted to share some shots taken with the Nikon 200-500 lens on a Nikon D810 camera. Love the combination.

Cordell, love the photos, thank you for posting them. You also caused me to get a very green hue on my face for being jealous. Always wanted to get there for either a photo safari or hunting one. Won't make it but viewing work like yours gets me there in my mind.

Thanks again, Greg.

This trip was at the top of my bucket list. Did not get to witness the migration but it was still wonderful.

I was in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe last June and took photos with my Canon SX60. I love my photos and made a book that was purchased by others on our trip but your photos inspire me to try to become a better photographer. (I especially love your picture of the lilac-breasted roller!)

Makes me want to go back soon. Are those African Wild Dogs in No.1? Ears seem more pointed than the ones we saw in Botswana.

They are black striped jackals. They are often seen in pairs

Thank you for your comments. To me there are 3 things that make you a better photographer.
1) Learn the fundamentals of photography
2) Learn how your camera works
3) Practice, practice, and practice some more
