If it is not too pertinent a question but how much do you guys pay for the "refurbished 6D? we do not seem to get refurbs in Canon's like you do, on your side of the pond.

Mine was $1099 USD. (Approx 967 Euros)

I have found the 6D menu to be much simpler with fewer options than the 7D2, but so far it seems to have most, if not all, of the functions I care about. There is enough similarity that it shouldn't take long to get accustomed to it.

Oh by the way, I posted a few simple Sparrow pics I took this morning, just playing around.

Enjoy, the 6D remains one of the very best DSLRs out there even four years on. Adequate dynamic range, great high-ISO performance and excellent color.

My favorite 6D feature is the interchangeable focusing screen. I use mostly Zeiss manual focus prime lenses on mine, and the "S" precision matte screen is a delight.

My new (refurbished) 6D just arrived! I wasn't expecting it until tomorrow, so was very happy when Fed Ex delivered it this morning around 9:30 AM. I've noticed the menu interface is a little different than on my 7D Mark II. Instead of having, for example, a Camera tab with several sub-tabs, like the 7D2, the 6D has multiple camera tabs, multiple playback tabs, etc. Similar but not exactly the same. I also noticed right off the bat that this camera feels just a tad smaller and is noticeably lighter than the 7D2.

I just popped on my 24-105 f4L and noticed right away how much wider the wide end is and how much you give up with a crop frame camera! I can't wait to get this thing out on a decent day and try some landscapes, street shots, etc. I may put on the 300 f4 and try some bird shots as well.

Since this was a refurb, I was interested to see what the shutter out was. I've seen some people talk of very low shutter count on refurb cameras. This one had a shutter count of 482 out of the box. I've heard of lower on reforms, but I'm ok with 482. Heck, I've shot more than that on a sing;e day with my 7D2.

LOL Actually I did go out in the yard and do some shooting already, but when I say "decent day," I mean I can't wait for a day with better lighting conditions. It's just very drab, rainy and foggy here today.

Sounds like a perfect day to shoot subtle, muted color.

I bought it from the Canon Refurbished story online. Just Google Canon Refurbished.
