On my D610. When I want to use the bracket feature; do I press the button once or do I keep it depressed for the three shots??
Thanks

On my D7200, it's once for each shot. I'm sure it's the same on yours. Be sure to set bracket to zero when you're done! I learned that the hard way.

I put my D7200 on CH (continuous high speed) and hold the shutter until I hear 3 shots rattled off. I'll bet that will work on your camera also and lessens any movement from one shot to the next. And, has been suggested before, RTFM. Good luck!

If you are using the bracket feature to create HDR than you should be on a tripod and take the shots one at a time with a cable release or using self timer. If you are using it to get the best exposed image from a set then I would use exposure compensation to do the adjustments.

Never thought about using exposure comp to to change shutter speed for an HDR set. Assuming that multiple button pushes on exposure comp (especially if doing +/- 2EV) would NOT induce any camera movement, what other advantage is your technique over standard exposure bracketing?

Once...but you need it turned on in the menu and need to move the thumbwheel to engage it. Then it stays on till you press again even when you turn the camera off and on.

My camera reminded me of that on a shoot a couple of weeks ago. Only one of five exposures was what I wanted.

If you use continuous it will shoot however many you set and then stop.

My D800 only allows 1 EV delta per shot. So if you want plus or minus 2EV with auto bracketing you need to do five shots.
