Well, I bit the bullet Sunday and upgraded my windows 7 Pro to Win 10. Everything went great.........until I tried to use my Outlook email service. Tried everything I could think of and no cigar! Outlook opened up, but no emails came in and none were able to be sent out. Went back to Win7 right now and all working fine. Does anyone here know the fix for upgrading and having your email work?
I would like to still upgrade.

Thanks in advance!

I had to download the new OE Classic free and then the paid version and put in the info and now it works great.

I frequently get questioned as to why I don't upload from Win 7 Pro to Win 10. My answer is when I cease seeing complaints about Win 10 on UHH and MS gets all their updates done, I may consider it.

In the meantime my PSE 14 works just fine on Win 7 as does everything else I need, so why change??

Did you receive an error message when you tried to send or pull new mail?

That may be longer than you can imagine. It's reported Win10 is the last OS Microsoft will issue. From here on, changes will be handled with updates.

I've heard that, but I'm still good with Win 7 until they stop supporting it--supposed to be about 2020. By then they may have the bugs all straightened out or have come out with something else that works :-) .

If it was any good they wouldn't be giving it away.. :!: :!:
I reckon they are using us as guinea pigs to sort their problems out for them...
Like most other, I'm sticking with 7 (Ultimate in my case)...a new operating system is, in my opinion, supposed to be an improvement but after looking at it on friends computers, I don't think it is...

Well, my latest acquisition came with Windows 10 preloaded so everything including Outlook works just fine. To be honest though, the new EDGE Browser did give me problems, but I did a Restore Point and took care of that. Micro$oft has a large database of fix it information. Have you tried any specific internet searches other than here?

If he is unable to figure out a Windows solution to his current Windows problem how likely will he be able to configure yet alone use and maintain a completely different Operating System?

I'm an established and experienced Mac OSX user. My Windows 10 machine is just a stop gap measure. While I'm at it I just may download and install GOOGLE Chrome on this machine too! The only reason why I ended up with a Windows 10 machine is because I got one heck of a good deal. Further, I went straight to Windows 10 so that I wouldn't have to go through the upgrade dilemma either.

What version of Outlook are you using? I was using 2007 and everything converted without a hitch. Some earlier versions are no longer being supported. Did you call MS? Gary
