I used Google Sync to sync my Outlook contacts to Google Mail, then set my Mac to sync with Google. Now I use Google as my master contact list. I can easily access it from any of my devices. It's an option.

I did this when moving from Windows 8 phone to Android recently, worked like a charm.

I have an old version of Outlook on one laptop and use Comcast's Infinity as the email handler on another. I can import and export the complete contact list from either at will.

Instead of VCF file why not export the current list as tab delimited (basic text file) which should make it universal to import to any other program.

I have not tried this with the newer versions of Outlook nor OS X Contacts. Try selecting all of the contacts in Outlook, then export as vcf file(s). Import to OS X Contacts program via File/Import. In prior versions it worked well for all of the set fields, but did not know where to place any free floating data if you have any. VCF is supposed to be a standards based contacts format, though both Microsoft and Apple seem to have applied their own twists to it.

In this case I was about to agree with you until I read the "stupid" classification. In this case there was a definite smug smart ass arrogance but he could have been having a bad day. Maybe 2 apologies are in order.

Then why don't you apologize to him and that will make two. That get it for you? He is stupid and arrogant.

You don't like it? Don't read it.

Joe,
I assume you are using Outlook on the Mac. If you have Office 365 (for earlier versions the process may differ) on your PC, choose File>Options>Advanced>Export>Export to a file. Click Next and choose whether you want to CSV or PST file. You will get to choose what you want to export. Export it to a thumb-drive or some other medium, then use whatever import function Outlook offers on the Mac. I have done this successfully several times from PC to PC, but I've never tried it with a Mac. Good luck!

This is pretty close to on target. These instructions lead you to the universal Export mechanism in Outlook. If you export to PST file, that is the universal Outlook data file import, but probably for the Microsoft Outlook on a Windows computer.

More universally the Outlook (universal ) export is a straight data base file known as "comma delimited Ascii". Once a file is in the "comma delimited Ascii" it will import into any standard data base import format. Such a format on the Apple version of Apple would surely give you a data file on Apple Outlook, although you may need to massage the location of the comma's in the receiving table to make it work. (Not for Noobs).

Ascii is data base talk and exports to tables in a spread sheet format, with the field separators being comma's. The corresponding Import imports into a similarly built spread sheets built in the receiving layout.

None of what I just explained should be trouble for a data base programmer or a knowledgeable program consultant.

Ascii is the key, cross platform. If I have lost you on that, I charge $100 per hour for this kind of work. You should consult such a tech, as for them this would be about 15 minutes work.

Sorry, you might be able to work your way through it with some time on the internet and a good book on data base programming. Good luck. What you are asking to do is certainly do-able.

OK I'll go first. I'm sorry someone pissed in your Corn Flakes. Hope the rest of your year goes a little better.

You are kind of slow on the uptake aren't you? That, or you are in that special kind of stupid category. That I am aware of no one has pissed in my corn flakes. If they have then I did not notice any difference in the taste of the flakes. I use Canadian milk, so that may be it.

My year has started out great and is going fine. Similar to how this past year ended. As I stated before, if you don't like it don't read it. Are you so stupid that you did not pick that up?

You and that other stupid arrogant fool make a great pair. Or, maybe you already are a pair?

ROTFLMAO. Do you actually think before you start slapping away at the keyboard? Calling someone arrogant is one thing but calling someone stupid is rude and uncalled for. Because of your need to denigrate another person is why I figured someone must have pissed in your Corn Flakes. (oh yeah, it is just a figure of speech and not based on reality) So your rhetoric on Corn Flakes and Canadian milk are somewhat revealing.

You also state, if I don't like it, don't read it. Now take a minute or two here and think about this. How will I know if I like it or not if I don't read it? Don't worry, I won't degrade your mental faculties with derogatory terms. I find it sad that people still feel the need to build themselves up by putting others down. So when you tell me your year is starting out great and is going fine I sincerely hope it gets even better for you and all.

I am very aware that it is rude, that is why I said it. And I don't think I need a disgruntled faggot like you to tell me the meaning of anything.

"Now take a minute here and think about this"? Really? What kind of hay truck did you fall off of?

Now zippy, you be sad all you want and I will continue to be rude to stupid and arrogant people. You included.
