The Huey photos were taken on POW/MIA Rec. Day we were invited to land in downtown Indianapolis for the ceremony....
The shots of the other aircraft were taken at the Willow Run airshow...
Very nice capture of the planes. Where in the world were you - in at least a couple they look like like you were even or above?

No mistaking that sound..... As the quote goes "they dont fly through the air, they beat it into submission". Theyre still sexy looking workhorses......
Most aircraft shots I see aren't all that well composed. These are ALL very well composed. Hats off you you. Very well done.

Thanks for the memories, I use to hang out of hueys back in the early 70"s shooting aireal recon photos for the Army.
Very nice set!!
Great perspectives, too :)
(About 2 months ago, some kind of chinook or something landed in the lot behind my apartment. Talk about feeling it in the gut!! I was shocked to see how small that thing was for all that power... of course, I snapped photos, too. Once in a lifetime thing for that area. Seems the company whose parking lot they landed in makes parts for them and it was to boost morale.)

point well taken...the gut comment
I served in Vietnam so the first action huey shot was like a flashback. You notice the frozen propellers in the high speed shutter shot but how the blur of the blades make it look more action packed. Great shots.
use shutter priority on prop planes and set it 1/125s to 1/250s to blur the prop for a better image
