Has anyone had any experience with this new MAC only competitor to Photoshop? The beta version came out early this year and now the final App is available in the Apple App Store for $50. This is supposedly a program at the professional level. Serif Affinity.

This has been discussed before a few times so for more information you could do a search and have plenty to read. Good luck. It looks like a good option.

Thanks! A friend told me about it yesterday and I have since done a lot of research online including dpreview.com.
Now I thought I would get the opinion of the Hogs out there.

If you use the search function at the top of the page you will find many opinions and comments on Affinity from UHHers.

Again, thanks for the lead: I did the search within this site and indeed it has been discussed and reviewed extensively. Now I will finish my research in Hedgehog and then probably buy!

I am using it and the only downsides so far are that there is no book or dedicated set of tutorials for Affinity Photo and that you have no cataloging set up like you have in Lightroom. It will save the .afphoto finished file to the folder that the original is in if you have the original file in your camera file i.e. Nikon Transfer 2/view nx2
