Likely I will since the Nikon P7800 is a leading contender in my mind and I would expect the menu to be similar and the batteries are the same.

As a small lightweight camera I have been using the Canon G11 That is a great camera under all conditions. All of my other cameras are Nikons D100,D200 D300s D750 . I didn't have much luck with the smaller Nikons! I bought my first Nikon back in the 50s

Thanks for the great info. I have the A6000 and love it. My second choice would be the Panasonic. Or the Sony because I love my current model.

All bridge cameras that have a VF have EVF's. There are some compact cameras with OVF's though most of the newer one use EVF's. The only new one I know of with an OVF is the Canon G16. The older Nikon P7100 and P7000 also have OVF's.
I have a P7100 and a P7000 and I also have a P7800 which has an EVF. While I prefer an OVF on a DSLR, I prefer the EVF on the compact. First it shows 100% of what the lens sees without any parallax error. The OVF is not that accurate. Second the EVF shows exposure and other data that the OVF doesn't show.

I also have the Sony DSC-HX50V, Love the size and case designed specifically for it. But, mine does not have the Zeiss lens which I was greatly disappointed by. Are you sure yours has the Zeiss lens and not the “Sony Lens G”?
I previously used the Sony DSC10 that did have the Zeiss lens and feel I got better sharper pictures compared to the HX50.
I must be doing something wrong with the settings. Have been skulking around thinking about upgrading even though my HX50 Is only a few years old. Love taking zoom pictures of grandkids at sporting events but they seem slightly fuzzy.....ugh!
