On the Tennessee/NC border, on the way to Clingman's Dome in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
First two at 16mm, the last one at 35mm.
I like the third one.

Excellent captures, love the moody feel of the last one. :-)

Very nice.... The farthest view I've ever seen in those mountains! Nicely composed!

Thanks Mike! Yes, it was still very, very hazy that day. I had to do my best in post to bring out the distant mountain detail.

Well you did very nicely! Thanks for sharing!
# 3 is unique but as an artist I really like the perspective in # 1 ;)
Great shots Fullframe. I have never been able to do justice to such a beautiful area. Clingman's Dome is breath taking. Thank you for the post. Mike
While well composed, these two looked just a bit gloomy on my monitor so, with permission, tweaked the last two basically by opening up the shadows and slight exposure/clarity increase. Then cropping the foreground to give them balance... Could easily have cropped the trees instead of sky in the one with the same effect...
On my monitor, these now look quite good!
Looks great mrjcall! I like what you did with the shadows. I'll be working on these a bit more when I get back on my desktop monitor.
