This is my first post in this forum.
After 3 months of waiting from B&H, I finally got my new Sigma last week. These Burrowing Owls were very cooperating, standing still and eating lunch. All on tripod and mostly 600mm on Nikon D800. I did some cropping and adjustments in Lightroom.
I am very happy with this lens, much much better than the Sigma 150-500, which I used on birds for the last 3 years.
Any comments are welcome.

Thanks, imagemeister. I didn't expect to find them up there, but apparently the shade and light breeze was better than the 90 degrees on the ground.

I bought a Sigma 150-500 in January and saw a Sigma 150-600 at an exposition at my local camera store. I liked it better so I graded in my 4-month-old lens for the newer one.

These are great pics. Were they taken in the wild or somewhere else? I especially like the first one of the owl yawning. it's so cute!

Thanks, scaltony. A friend mentioned this location and had good light to work with.

Thanks, everyone. They nested in an open area of a local park with YMCA, soccer fields near by.
