Just remember where all that stuff is made, and that the English part of the Owner's Guide was probably written by a first-year ESL student at Shanghai Tech, and that the writer thought it was for a vacuum cleaner. Don't despair, it was cheap, and that's what we have come to respect.

I have 2 coffee makers and alternate between them. One is always ready. I refuse to be deprived of my morning cup of "Joe"! (I also have a generator, just in case.)

It's just following the old engineers maxim. Don't force it - use a bigger hammer. Also, if Duct tape or WD40 wont fix it, you are best to just drop it.

Anyone here old enough to remember what we used before WD-40 existed?

I use(d) four brass Eagle oil cans.

1 - 50/50 kerosene and refrigerator compressor oil
2 - pure refrigerator compressor oil
3 - 20 weight non-detergent motor oil
4 - 40 weight non-detergent motor oil

If a nut/bolt was really rusted, a squirt of hydrogen peroxide, 10 minute wait followed by a little heat from a torch usually addressed the problem.

[So, the next time your electronics are giving you a hard time, don't hesitate to bang that Mark III or D4s against the wall.[/quote]

I've always been a really big advocate of the "kill it or cure it" concept.
