Lens Problem?

Just received a new Sigma 18-300 lens for my 7D. When zooming, it is a lot stiffer than other zoom lenses I own. How can I determined if I have a problem or if this is normal for this lens? I called B&H and they suggested I use it for a while and see if improves. Need to make the determination within their 30 day return policy.

a. Many things with moving parts are stiff when new, use it a lot for a week or two.
b. B&H sold it, Sigma made it, contact them to ask the question.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Got enough time to return.

I would contact Sigma tech support to see if you may have an issue.

Perfect. I bet it will loosen up soon enough.

In the past I've found this to be a case with most Sigma lenses.

Yep, going to the manufacturer is the best solution.

Thanks Chris.

I'll give it a workout for a week or more and see how it does. Appreciate your comments.
