While my daughter and I were walking my grand daughter home from school we heard a saw a helicopter fly by with a bucket so of course we had to take a detour to investigate. From what we could tell they were fertilizing the crops via the bucket. Well of course once we finished walking home I hopped in my car with my camera to see what I could capture.
Thats gonna take a while to do, looks like a homemade system out of a old bucket used for dumping concrete with a crane ( we used them when I was building bridges instead of a pumper truck). very interesting photos Re. Pete

I thought so too Pete, but shucks I'm no farmer LOL! They were at it for at least 5 hours, not sure if they were there the next day because I was out of town. I did find it interesting though. Thanks for looking I appreciate your interest.
Your welcome Re, when our crops reach a certain stage we just call Paul and have him spray the fields with his crop duster plane so we don't leave tire tracks and smash down the crop with the equipment. We do use our Gator to make a narrow path to the pivots to turn them on and off and its lighter and less likely to get stuck then our full size 4x4 pickup . Pete

Hi Pete, I live in a farming community, we are surrounded by vineyards, orchards and corn fields as a well as a few dairies. I am familiar with the crop dusting so you have convinced me this was something perhaps a bit unique. Pleased you chimed in! :-)

This just might be a practice drill for putting out "hot spots" following a forest fire, or placing fertilizer on golf course greens.
Concrete bucket, forest fire water bucket, regardless, great shots of something unusual. Thanks for posting and allowing me to learn something new today.
