Photographing items

I am looking for an enclosed unit which I can put on the table and into it items which I want to photograph. I have seen such an item live but no longer can find its name and where to buy it on the internet. The item selss for approximately $50. Can you tell from my description what I am looking for? If so, please advise.

I believe what you are looking for is called a shooting tent. You can find them on about any photographic supplier.

I just saw a thread today about people makin' their own photo boxes out of foam board and all sorts of things..go to the local craft store and see what they have available.it is quite simple really..you might also check out DIY..not sure of the exact url..but it has many ideas on things just like you are looking for

Go to the "strobist' website, David Hobby had an article how
make one using a large box. I made one it is very useful.
