I got the Canon 100mm F2.8 L IS USM lens. I don't have the ring flash yet. This was the best of the 5 shots I got before he (or she) flew away.

I believe Macro Forum Manager wanted to show how well you captured fine detail in fly eyes and head detail.
Better than I can do! By measurement, last image is about 36x life-size. You done good.

That critter was very cooperative. I was inside looking at the shots and thought I'd see if I could get a different angle, so I went back out there only to see him flying away. Oh well, I can't wait to get more use out of this lens.
