Somewhere I came across the name of this forum and it struck a chord with me. Being 70 and slightly off kilter, as a lot of my fellow seniors are, I had to look into it. Glad I did. Lots of good info from a large variety of fellow photogs.
I started shooting in my teens with a box and went from that to weddings, receptions and class reunions. Decided I don't like producing for others so hung it up for a while. Got back into it with a Digital Rebel and now on my 3rd dslr, a 70D. I do mostly travel and landscape, Yosemite is not far nor is the Monterey coast.
Geez, what a long winded intro, sorry will do better.

Hello, Tom2272. The intro was great, don't worry! I hope you will upload some of your photos from Yosemite and Monterey coast.
Welcome to the family! My first DSLR was a Rebel, too. Could never remember which wheel, button or menu to use to change a setting :)
You have earned the right to be long-winded Tom. Welcome to the Hog and please post some pictures, we tend to like them. :)
Thanks everyone. I'll upload something soon. Fun to be welcomed from so many areas of this great country. I am looking forward to what I can learn. So far I have seen posts from Autrailia to England, gotta love the Internet. Tom
