So I had this small drill bit in hand and saw a penny:

The lighting for both of these is superb! The harsh 4:1 (or more) side lighting of the drill compliments the sharpness of the tool, and the softer 2:1 lighting of the ant preserves roundness.

Please post a little technical info with your photos:
camera, lens, ISO, shutter duration, aperture, special lighting used, etc.

I link to these photos on my own website, so EXIF data is preserved and attached to the images. I think a right click EXIF viewer is available for most browsers.

Nice shots. Like the lighting on the drill/penny. The ant is nice and sharp.
