I too prefer the color version, but you have a serious issue with the focus. No offense intended but this beautiful animal deserves better. I don't see any part of the animal that is really sharp.
If you're relying on auto focus - go manual and take several images as you tweak the focus, especially around the head. It may take dozens of shots to get one keeper.
