However, any bit of respect I might have had for your opinions disappeared in a split second over this comment. You need to study up on WWII and contemplate what this world would be like had we not entered the "European" war. It's too long and complicated for this forum and perhaps too long and complicated for you personally.
Perhaps in the next 12 pages of this thread (I am on page 6 as I write this), some folks will have called you out on this outrageous and ignorant comment, but I no longer have the capacity to read more of these inane and thoughtless comments people are making in light of this airliner tragedy. Any excuse to attack the president, and in this case a president from over 60 years ago.

There is a bit of a lie contained in that oft touted idea. Take for instance the now retired warthog. My son, who recently came back from Afghanistan told some interesting stories about calling in air strikes. They loved the warthog who came in low and slow because you knew you were not going to get YOUR ass blown off - that mean, nasty cannon was going to tear up an enemy it could SEE with eyeballs. They were scared to death calling in the fast sophisticated aircraft. Too high too fast too much chance of "friendly" accidents. Now you old salts back off! this is second hand - I was not there, but I believe my kid! Bottom line: they have retired the real efficient old tub. But as Tom Sowell said: "Much of the social history of the Western world, over the past three decades, has been a history of replacing what worked with what sounded good."

Yes that is very easy to do when you take one sentence out of context and use it to characterize an entire thread. You are entitled to think whatever you want about me based on one sentence if that is your modus operandi. Bless your heart!

Yes sir, I think about and also marvel that we are the only country in the world that really allows and understands that principle. Thanks for the reply.

You said the words, I didn't. It isn't against the law, I just see you for what you are now.

Along comes the president, and he has decided that he can fix some of our immigration woes by rewriting the laws to his liking. Never mind that the Constitution provides that his job is "to take care that the laws be faithfully executed," and that "all legislative power" in the federal government has been granted to Congress. He has chosen to bypass Congress and disregard the Constitution.

By our count at the Galen Institute, more than 42 significant changes already have been made to ObamaCare: at least 24 that President Obama has made unilaterally, 16 that Congress has passed and the president has signed, and 2 by the Supreme Court.

These are the reasons (among others) that I dislike this president so much...

Well I can't disagree with the article written by Judge Napolitano, as I used to do work for him and have the up most respect for him.

As far as the next article concerning the Galen Institute, I have to take my hat off to you. It appears by reading your comment, you work for the institute. I have nothing negative to say with respect to the instate.

I as well as millions of American's don't care how many changes he makes to Obama Care as long as the changes are positive to help the program to survive.

I wish you wouldn't. This personal chicken fighting is so undignified. How about some ideas to cross swords over instead of personalities. Or if you must, how about a new thread entitled "I don't like you!" I promise not to post on that one. :-)

As far as the Russians shooting down the airliner, they've done it before. Recall the Korean airliner several years ago.

Just wondering: why are commercial airlines flying over "war zones" with SAM missiles"???? looks to me like a lot of lives could have been saved by simply rerouting…maybe its not that simple..

Look at all we spent with our military might in Vietnam, and we lost that war. Look at Iraq and Afghanistan. Just what have we won in those two countries? Very costly nonsense.

If we had a vibrant economy and less spending on entitlement programs it would help afford important Constitutional requirements. Cut funding for Airforce #1 and Michelles vacations would go a long way!

Maybe this will help get this thread back on topic:

"Ukrainian military could be responsible for the crash

While western media and politicians have unilaterally blamed Russia for the disaster, they have failed to mention the other side of the story that suggests that the Ukrainian military may have been responsible.

The Russian Defense Ministry has said that when a Malaysian Airlines plane was apparently shot down over Ukraine, a Ukrainian Buk anti-aircraft missile battery was operational in the region. The ministry said that the battery was deployed at a site from which it could have fired a missile at the airliner. The Defense Ministry also added that the Ukrainian military has several batteries of Buk surface-to-air missile systems with at least 27 launchers, capable of bringing down high-flying jets, in the Donetsk region where the Malaysian passenger plane crashed. Furthermore, hours after the crash of the Boeing 777 was reported, Kiev published what it called intercepted communications between militia officers and their Russian handler to apparently discuss the take-down of a civilian aircraft by the militia. However, as was noted in this video, the alleged intercepted conversation was created before the plane crashed, suggesting that not only is the conversation fake, but whoever created it was aware about the impending disaster.

Ultimately, right now it is very difficult to confirm who was responsible for the crash, but it is imperative to know that there is some evidence that the Ukrainian military may have been involved, thus nullifying the unjustified claims that Russia is definitely to blame."
