Welcome to Day 43 :) I think it's awesome that it's been 43 days and we are still going strong. I want to thank each and every one of you for participating. Y'all make it so much fun everyday.
Today let's focus on Motion. It can be either camera motion or subject motion, long exposures or panning. As long as there is visible movement. And you thought camera shake was a bad thing LOL.
Here are a few examples to get us started. I look forward to seeing what y'all post.

Very cool effects and examples photogrl57!!! Pg 1

It's not suppose to be. I was panning so the background is blurred and I had the shutter speed slowed to catch motion. If you look at the Birds head and eye, that is pretty sharp. Hence you have motion......When I have the shutter set to 1/1250 like the photo below you don't get Motion

Oh my, greats shots already! I have some but I would sure like 2 take motion/action shots 2day. Problem is.....I am not going outside unless I have 2. I don't do the cold very well. It's only 16 - which is about 70 degrees too cold 4 me ;) don't like it when my body aches.....

Yes, that can be a lot of fun playing with the settings..do it very often. Of course I'll shoot 40 - 50 and sometimes not keep a one. LOL

This I thought was pretty cool. I parked my truck on the wharf and the tide had just turned and th current was good so I set up the angle of the truck so as the high beams would light up the flow. Then I set up the tripod and each pic was taken with a different setting. Yuo will botice that the blur is only close to the camera because further on out the movement is not detected.

Excellent Roadrunner .... wow @ that ice .. pg 1
