WOW! I need a city fix now and then but really prefer the peaceful places like yours.

I am so glad to see you hosting Lass - you are doing a fine job - it wasn't hard at all was it?! Amazing shots too!
Charlottetown City Hall is a National Historic Site built in the 1880s

Confederation Centre is a centennial project, built in 1964 in celebration of a 100 years since the first of the Confederation Conferences. It is on both Queen and Richmond Street, thus across the street from City Hall and right next door to Province House

Church Door. There are quite the number of stone built churches in Charlottetown near the water. Clearly historic, but hard to get a range for a shot.

Unidentified stone buildings. I just liked the combination

Laska, you're hitting chords in me.
I used to work in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. Now, after the Battle on the Plains of Abraham when Capt. Cook had shown how to navigate the St. Lawrence river, where the river narrows (in Mik'maq, the word for where the river narrows is Quebec), the English naval or military lords had won a settlement from France to turn over part of the lands in Newfoundland previously controlled by them. 1st they wanted all of the lands around Newfoundland surveyed. & Cook was given the job. Suffice it to say, you might enjoy googling for "Cook Monument, Corner Brook, NL." Newfoundland is also where Cook learned how to go without fresh food and not get scurvy. & of course, that's how he managed to go on all of those other, longer voyages.
Now, your challenge name. You see there's one 'town' I've been meaning to tackle, photo wise. Only, to do so meant getting up EARLY, for daylight, but little traffic.
So, to next post.
Laska, you're hitting chords in me. br br I use... (

I am looking forward to your photos. We have been to Corner Brook a couple of times. Newfoundland is one of our favorite places.

Thank you. These will all be of Charlottetown. Corner Brook is pretty, quite hilly, and only a wee bit over 100 years old. The reason for that is The French Shore, another bit of Canadian history.
:-D
If you could see me, I would be mostly green. We had the good fortune to visit England for a few weeks but I wanted to stay two years. Such a beautiful country and your photos are excellent!

Enjoyed your photos. They brought back good memories of our visits there.
Which hometown should I choose since my hometown changes regularly. :-)
Is there a time limit on this challenge?

The QEH is really the central hospital for PEI, I go there for heart and other specialized stuff. Another foggy timed shot

Of course, as a provincial capital city, there are defence stations. This for The Prince Edward Island Regiment. With fog. Tempted, but did not take a shot of the residential quarters.

Lass, you mentioned hangouts.....
Well this town used to be a good ol' boy's town in that as long as you did not cause trouble, you didn't need to walk the line, and that fit my lifestyle like a glove!
Folks would rowdy on down Saturday nights and be in Church Sunday mornings and the biggest event was the summer corn festivals.
Now this series shows my hangouts and they are not places which draw tourists but they were, and still are, my playground. Deer, trapping, more deer, partridge, rabbits, coyotes, berries of all sorts, snowshoeing, hiking and just plain kicking back like the ol boys used to do.
Third pole on the left turn left, and set up your tree stand
Past the second pole a bit, turn right,,,bring your berry bucket
THis year's blueberries just being born once again
The old Cadoret farm
Stay indoors? Are you nuts?
Bushido
Loc: No Where and Every Where
This challenge runs Thursday through Saturday, however the challenge stays and many people post after the ending date.
