Superb work. Digital technology has brought us gear that can finally make this kind of capture possible, but it still takes deft skill to pull off this kind of performance. Congrats on beautifully technical art.

Yes, I agree, it is much better to get a good shot of a flutterby in flight (I like that!), but it takes a lot more effort, skill, and patience. I spent about an hour photographing some moths (I think they're moths, not butterflies), got a bunch of good shots with them on a plant, but only a couple of good shots of them flying.

Its really not that hard...just takes some practice is all.
