How 'bout a thread of what you consider your best shot of the year past?
Doesn't have to be award-winning, doesn't matter if you've already posted it. I'd just like to see what folks here consider their numero unos for 2013. Here's mine.
Happy New Year to everyone, and thanks for the memories of 2013!

p.s. glad you didn't suggest the worst shot. I've got a lot of these.
Don't know if it is the best, but I like it and had fun shooting from the raft!

I won't post my favorite picture because of his privacy issues. But my favorite shot, of all time, is of my young son right after he was declared cancer free this fall.

Thanks for contributing, Frank! That's a beauty for sure.
Perhaps I should clarify my intent--this thread should be for the shot you like best, even if not perfect in every technical detail, but simply the photograph you consider your favorite (like this beauty Frank just posted) from the year past, whether of landscapes, pets, objects, bugs, people, portraits, hands, whatever.
No winners, no losers, no contest, just for our own enjoyment here. And again, Happy New Year to everyone!

This is Taughannock Falls in the summer. I spent many a weekend in my youth here camping and Hiking. The falls still fascinate me.

I was at a friends cottage and rose early to get some sunrise shots, but the sun came up to my right behind the trees and gave a nice glow over the water and lit the Island Mist
One of many shots that I like from 2013
Morning Mist
Hard to pick a favorite, but a super idea for a topic. I keep coming back to this country scene.
Have a super 2014 all.
