I also keep a whip, gun, and a chair by the bed. Can't be too careful!

Thanks very much, Angler. Always appreciate your kind words.

As for Martian, he'd better be worried. The way I heard it, Santa dropped a bundle on the Reindeer Games that Martian tried to fix. And, charming or not, until Martian makes some sort of restitution to the Guy in the Red Suit, he's going to occupy top spot on the Naughty List for quite some time to come. ; )

Merry Christmas to you and Mrs Angler!

Treepusher...

Beautiful cat... a treasure!

and makes such a great model... such expression...

do you have any experience with dogs? I need a few hints on shooting pets... I am developing a "Pet Friendly Photography" concept for future business development... I could use all the advice you may have...

However, I do not want to use strobes... only 5000K cool lights... so, I have a challenge to begin... but, the advice I seek has to do with handling animals in the studio... and getting them to "strike a pose" and "smile"... lol...

Any advice is appreciated...

Merry Christmas to you and yours...

Thanks very much for the warning, BigBear. I always keep my eyes open around Martian, having learned my lesson long ago, lol.

Appreciate your visit, and thanks for taking time to offer a comment!

Merry Christmas!

Thanks for your kind comments, Beaux. I'll be happy to share some of my tricks with you in a PM. I'm off to work right now, will send you a copy of my kitty tutorial, fully applicable to dogs, a bit later on today, and can also suggest a few other members here who focus on doing dog portraits.

Thanks for looking!

Merry Christmas!

Someone just called the North Pole and found out he was on Santa's 'Naughty' list. Martian can pout all he wants, but I think Santa pretty much nailed it.

Those eyes - perfect focus - and that's what you intended - so total success. But there is more to a puss-cat. I would like to have seen more of this beautiful animal in focus.
The pundits always say "get the eyes in focus" and I would totally agree - and you do. But at the expense of the rest?

To me he looks like he's dreaming of empty boxes and lots of torn up Christmas wrappings to both hide and search in and, finally, to snuggle in for a few dreams. Gorgeous picture.
